Athletic Trainers (AT’s) are highly skilled and experienced board certified health care professionals. AT’s specialize in injury prevention, clinical examination and diagnosis, and treatment through acute and long-term rehabilitation.
AT’s have a unique role in health care, as they often see their patients on a daily basis, in good health or otherwise. They are the first response to an acute injury, you've probably seen them running on the field to tend to an athlete on your favorite sports team. From that injury until the athlete is at full health, the ATC (Athletic Trainer, Certified) guides them every step of the way.
